I began looking for comfortable shoes several months prior
to my recent vacation to Southern Europe (Greece, Albania,
Croatia) and didn't find these until a week before I left,
so had no time to "break them in". I need not have worried.
These sandals were wonderful and rolled like tanks over
uneven terrain (the Acropolis) and through puddles.
Honestly, I felt ridiculous spending so much on a pair of
sandals as I am quite frugal, but these are definitely worth

Order your usual shoe size. It fits great and feels
wonderful right out of the box. Good arch support and no
places where the straps "dig in." Last week a woman stopped
me in a store and asked if my sandals were as comfortable as
they looked! My only reasonable reply, "No, they are even
MORE comfortable." She asked where she could get a pair and
I gave her the shoebuy address, knowing she would have a
great shoe buying experience.

I am planning a trip abroad with lots of walking. Especially
since I have bone spurs on my heels, I was looking for a
comfortable shoe with good support, and it looks like these
will fill the bill. They are extremely comfortable, and I
especially like the fact that the heel strap is adjustable.
An added plus is that they look great for a performance
sandal. I had tried these on before I ordered and, at least
on me, they ran a half-size smaller than I ordinarily wear,
so I ordered the next size larger, and they fit perfectly.

This is my 4th pair of Ecco Yucatan sandals. They are so
comfortable. Last Fall, I wore them with socks until the
first snow flakes fell. Fortunately, they has kept them
exactly the same in dimensions and quality. I have
Osteoarthritis knees and a hammer toe. They have a footbed
that does NOT aggravate my knees. These do NOT cause rubbing
or blisters. I hope that they keep manufacturing this
perfection for generations.

I have a wide foot and a narrow heel. My feet are so
sensitive, too. I wear a shoe size 6.5, so I first purchased
the 6-6.5 size of this sandal. The foot bed didn't fit right
at all, and the side of my foot sat too far out on the
edges. It took me a while to figure out that it was just too
small! So I bought the 7-7.5 and this is much better. I
still wish it were wider, though; I'm not sure I will be
able to wear the sandal for long walks because the ball of
my feet still tend to press down too close to the edge and I
think that would become uncomfortable over time. The straps
tighten up very nicely to take care of the narrow heel. The
upper part of the sandals are really soft.

I have plantar fasciitis, and this shoe has a great support
system for my feet. I have read that the Ecco shoes are
great for this ligament problem and are recommended by
orthopedists. I wear these shoes as much as possible. I love
to do my daily walking and exercising in them, because they
have an insole and outer sole (bottom) like a regular tennis
shoe/sneaker. I have heard nothing but compliments from the
people who have foot problems and wear them also.
